    About trekking:

    Langtang Valley trek is another name of Langtang Village that lies to the north of Kathmandu.Langtang  is a narrow valley is home of  Tamangs & Sherpas whose daily way of living & culture are similar to Tibetan. Visiting to the Langtang village provides a unique opportunity to explore Budhist villages with several monasteries & climb small peaks Yala & Nayakyang. 

    Langsisha Kharka to the North of Kyanjin Gompa that presents a spectacular view of Langtang Lirung (7246m.), Gang Chhenpo (6388m), Naya Kangari (5846m.), Dorje Lakpa (6966m) etc. Hiking up to Tsergo Ri, we can get spectacular views of Langtang Valley & mountain at once.

    Kyanjing Gumpa is last human settlement in Langtang valley. It has world famous Buddist monastery.

    Langtang valley trek is started from Syabrubensi after 9 hrs bus journey. From Syabrubensi to Ghoratabela most of the part are covered by deep forest which are the safe home of different species of birds & animal including Red panda. Rhododendron ,oak ,silver fir, hemlock,blue pine are major available plants in Langtang valley. Throughout these zones various species of Rhododendron such as R. arboretum, R. barbatum, R. campanulatum, and R. lepidotum (scrubs) to name a few, form a colorful under story. Tree species such as birch, silver fir, Sorbus microphyla and twisted Rhododendroncampanulatum are found near the tree line. It is here at 4000m Juniper and Rhododendron shrubs (R. anthopogon) slowly dissolve into expansive alpine grassland meadows.



    Airport representative of Cozy Trek(P) ltd will well-come you and transfer you by private vehicle to your hotel. There will be short briefing by our representative about next day program. Overnight.


    There will be half day heritage sightseeing tour in world heritage sight of Kathmandu. You  visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, Monkey Temple & Pashupati Nath Temple, all are World Cultural Heritage Site enlisted by UNESCO. There will be meeting with our trek leader  for final preparation & gear list will be checked as well. O/N Hotel

    DAY 03: DRIVE TO SYABRUBESI (1400M/4592FT) 7-9 HOURS (A,B,L,D)

    Your road journey starts early morning from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi, a lovely small village on the banks of the Bhote Khola. It is about 9 hrs bus drive & 7 hrs drive by 4W JEEP. There will be lunch break on the way. O/N Lodge

    DAY 04: TREK TO LAMA HOTEL (2,380M/7,808FT) 5-6 HOURS walking. (A,B,L,D)

    From Syabru Besi you start your trek to Lama Hotel. The path crosses the Bhote Khola via suspension bridge and continues east. You meet  the Langtang Khola & follow it whole day. The trail starts as a moderate climb and zig-zags up the broad valley. Continuing up, you will see the village of Thulo Syabru clinging to the high valley side. You will then enter a deep gorge which signifies the start of the Langtang valley. From the gorge you will start a steady descent through a bamboo forest to the valley floor. Red pandas and Langoor inhabit this forest. After reaching the Langtang Khola you will follow it up stream. Passing through the Pairo( Land Slides) you will reach the village of Bamboo. This village is situated on the riverside .After about an hour you will cross a bridge to the northern side of the river and pass through the village of Rimche. Shortly after this you will briefly climb out of the forest to reach the village of Lama hotel. Overnight Lodge.

    DAY 05: TREK TO LANGTANG (3,500M/11,482FT) 5-6 HOURS. (A,B,L,D)

    From Lama Hotel Village you continue your climb up the Langtang Valley. The area here is still forested. In a while the snow peak of Langtang Lirung comes into view from the north. Passing a waterfall you continue up the west bank of the Langtang Khola and pass through the hamlet of Gumanchok. After about two hours the valley begins to widen and the trail flattens. You pass through Ghoda Tabela. You cross a small wooden bridge and continue through the forest.Approaching Langtang you will see a 400 year old Buddhist gompa (monastery) on your left and a few minutes later you climb into Langtang village .     DAY 06: TREK TO KYANGJIN GOMPA (3,800M/12,467FT) 3 HOURS. (A,B,L,D)

    After passing the Upper Langtang village you will walk along a series of long mani walls. To the east you will gain great views of the peak mountain “Dorji Lakpa” with mountain “Urkinmang” to its left. Also to the south, the peaks of “Naya Kanga” and “Pongen Dopku” will come into view. After a steep, undulating trail you will cross a rise and Kyangjin Gompa will arrived. O/N


    Kyangjin Gompa is surrounded by high, snow-capped peaks. While you are here you may want to explore the local area. It is possible to climb the small mountain to the north of the village at the height of about 14,107ft/4m. This provides  great views of Langtang Lirung (23,765ft/7,245m), the Langtang glacier, Kimshing peak with its glacier and to the south, a long ridge on top of which is the Ganja La, a high pass to Helambu. Alternatively you could continue east to the valley and visit the Lagshisha glacier which marks the end of the Langtang valley. A hike to Tsergo Ri has the best mountain view.

    DAY 08: TREK TO LAMA HOTEL (2,380M/7,808FT) 5-6 HOURS. (A,B,L,D)

    You now trek down the valley. The next two days are basically downhill  so you are able to cover a lot of distance. You will gain great views returning down the valley, especially the sun flitting through the leaves once you have dropped below the tree line. O/N Lodge


    A final day of hiking bring down to small town of Syabrubesi passing through verdant pine and Rhododendron forest along the way. Walking time approx. 5 hrs


    Return to Kathmandu by private land cruiser. The rest of the day is free to explore Kathmandu and hunt for bargain souvenirs.

    DAY 11: FLY BACK. (B)

    We will serve you appropriate vehicle to transfer you to Kathmandu International Airport as per group size.
