    About Trek:

    Langtang Valley trek is another name of Langtang Village that lies to the north of Kathmandu.Langtang  a narrow valley is home of  Tamangs & Sherpas whose daily way of living & culture are similar to Tibetan. Visiting to the Langtang village provides a unique opportunity to explore Budhist villages with several monasteries & climb small peaks Yala & Nayakyang. 

    Langsisha Kharka to the North of Kyanjin Gompa that presents a spectacular view of Langtang Lirung (7246m.), Gang Chhenpo (6388m), Naya Kangari (5846m.), Dorje Lakpa (6966m) etc. Hiking up to Tsergo Ri, we can get spectacular views of Langtang Valley & mountain at once.

    Kyanjing Gumpa is last human settlement in Langtang valley. It has world famous Buddist monastery.

    Helambu is situated 75 km. far north east of Kathmandu.There are many Buddhist Monasteries heart touching view of  landscape ,Rhododendron forest and local Buddhist traditional culture. The local people are Tamang with Sherpa people inhabiting the higher villages Melamchi Gaon, Tarkegyang and Sermathang.

    Langtang –Helambu  trek can be started from Syabrubensi after 9 hrs bus journey & end at Melamchipul Bazar or just opposite way. From Syabrubensi to Ghoratabela most of the part are covered by deep forest which are the safe home of different species of birds & animal including Red panda. Rhododendron ,oak ,silver fir, hemlock,blue pine are major available plants in Langtang valley. Throughout these zones various species of Rhododendron such as R. arboretum, R. barbatum, R. campanulatum, and R. lepidotum (scrubs) to name a few, form a colorful under story. Tree species such as birch, silver fir, Sorbus microphyla and twisted Rhododendroncampanulatum are found near the tree line. It is here at 4000m Juniper and Rhododendron shrubs (R. anthopogon) slowly dissolve into expansive alpine grassland meadows.

    To arrive Helambu we need to cross a pass called Lauribina La( 4610m) from Holy Lake Gosainkuda commonly known as frozen lake. Langtang Helambu trek is a great combination of Culture, tradition, nature & adventure.


  •  Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel

    You will be welcomed by Cozy Trek representative at Airport Arrival gate & transfer to your hotel. On arrival at hotel you will be shortly briefed  about next day program & rest of day you are free of your own.O/N Hotel

    Day 02: Half Day Kathmandu Valley sightseeing and Trek preparation

     Sightseeing to world heritage sights by trained city tour guide starts at 8 am. A three hours city tour brings you Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath & Buddhanath Stupa. Rest of the you may be assisted by our guide for checking trekking gears & preparation. O/N Hotel

    Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi from Kathmandu [1,460m/8-9 hours]

    An early morning drive starts from Kathmandu . Driving by bus may take 9 hrs but it is possible to hire 4W Jeep ( Additional cost) as  well for comfortable journey. The drive leads us east from Kathmandu passing Trishuli Bazar, Betrawati Bazar, Kalikasthan, Dhunche & finally brings us to Syabrubensi. Stay overnight at Syabrubensi in a lodge.

    Day04: Trek Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel [2,470m/6 hours walk]

    After breakfast in our lodge at Syabrubensi we start our first day trek through jungle, normally gentle up trek takes us to Bamboo at the height of 1970 meters where we will have our lunch. Walking through National park for another 1 hr. we reach Rimche (2455m). Another one hours gradual uphill hiking brings us to Lama Hotel. O/N Lodge

    Day 05: Trek Lama Hotel to Langtang Village [3430m/6 hours walk]

    Our journey moves fallowing jungle along the side of Langtang River and the trail goes up to Gumanchok(2,990m) on the middle of forests and keep on  Ghodatabela (2972m) for lunch. Our trek carries on Langtang village for another 2 hrs from Ghodatabala. O/N Lodge

    Day 06: Trekking Langtang to Kyanjin Gumba [3,870m/3 hours walk]

    Our trek continue climbing through tiny villages like Mundu Singdum and Yamphu (3640m) and yak pastures as the Langtang valley extends and the Himalayas scenery comes near. Passing several small streams and moraines along the wide and open valley, Kyanjin Gumba is reached. It is fairly 3-4 hrs gentle hiking. Kyanging Gumpa  offers the excellent views of Dorje Lakpa (6990m), Langtang Lirung (7,227m), langtang Ri peak (6,370m) and many more including yala peak .O/N Lodge

    Day 07: Exploration to Tsergo Ri(4984m)for 7 hrs.

    Today is our most exciting  day of the trek. As you hike around anywhere from your Hotel you will be seeing marvelous scenery. A day hike to Tserko Ri (4,984m) offers dazzling view of himalays of langtang region. Back to stay at same hotel.

    Day 08: Trek Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (6-7 hours walk)

    Day 09: Lama Hotel to Thulo Shyaphru [2,250m- 6 to 7 hours walk]

    We trek down to bamboo but further ahead from bamboo we meet two trails one goes to Thulo Shyabru and another to Syabrubesi. We take left trail and climb hill to Thulo Syabru Sherpa village . O/N Lodge

    Day 10: Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa [3,330m/ 4 - 5 hours walk]

    Today we trek to Sing Gumba commonly known as Chandanbari. Firstly we climb through the forests of Oak, Hemlock and firs to Foprang danda (3,200m) from where  we see the Langtang and Ganesh Himal Himalayan range with Tibetan mountains. We will find well settled local cheese factory and also Buddhist Monastery at Sing gompa also known as Chandanbari.  

    Day 11: Sing Gomba to Gosaikunda [4,380m/6 hours walk]

    We fallow the rugged trail enjoying the fantastic sceneries of Himal Chuli (7,893m), Mt. Manaslu (8,256m) and Ganesh Himal (7,406m) even Annapurna Himalayan range can be seen gently behind far way and to the north Langtang Lirung. We pass two great view point Chyolangpati (3,654m) and Laurebina (3,910m) today. We see the several lakes in Gosainkunda but the major three are SaraswotiKunda, Bhairabkunda and Gosaikunda. Gosaikunda is holy pilgrimage lake at the height of 4343m.O/N Lodge

    Day 12: Gosainkunda to Ghopte 6-7 hrs)

    It is a challenging day because we need to ascend & cross Lauribina la (4610m). After crossing pas the trail goes down to Phedi & on arrival at Phedi we continue our trek via forest of Pine & Rhododendron trees. O/N Lodge at Ghopte

    Day 13: Ghopte to Melamchigoun(2560m) for 6 -7 hrs

    We start our trek after breakfast at around 8 pm. Firstly we hike up hill to Thadepati(3650m) for 3 hrs. After lunch break we continue our trek descending 3 more hours to Melamchigoun through forest.O/N Lodge

    Day 14: Melamchigoun to Tarkeghyang(2590m) for 5 hrs.

    We trek from Melamchigun to melamchi River for 2 hrs steep downhill then we descend to Tarkegyang for 3 hrs. Tarkeghyang is a largest busshist village in Helambu where there si a famous monastery in the middle of the village. At evening time we visit to Monastery while Pooja.O/N Lodge

    Day 15: Tarkeghyang to Sermathang(2610m) for 4 hrs.

    It is a short day & very pleasant day. We start trek around 8 am & trek through Langtang National park. Basically the trail are flat & some time mind ascending which we call Nepali Flat. It take 4 hours to arrive Sermathang so we will have our lunch at Sermathang.O/N Lodge

    Day 16: Trek to Melamchipul Bazar

    We start our trek early morning today. After breakfast we commence trek at 7 Am. We hike never ending downhill until we arrive Melamchipul Bazar. It takes about 5 hrs to arrive Malamchipul then we drive to Kathmandu for 3 hrs.O/N Hotel
