A bit more physical fitness is required to complete this course of Everest trek because we need to pass through high mountain pass called Chola. We can either starting trek from Lukla & enjoy Gokyo valley first then reach Everest base camp by crossing Chola or trek to EBC part first then go Gokyo Valley.   • Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu
    Our representative will welcome you at Kathmandu Airport on your arrival day. Our representative will be standing outside the arrival gate with flash board of our company Cozy Trek(P) Ltd & there will be your name written in same board.   It will be your First impressions of Kathmandu. If time permits walk to medieval Kathmandu Durbar Square and explore the beautiful complex of palaces, temples, shrines Overnight hotel( A)
    Day 2 – Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
    Today we discover the highlights of Katmandu and the valley. We adapt the programm to your interests and desires and what you have seen before. Usually, we go to Pasupatinath on the bank of the Bagmati River, where the most important Hindu temples and burning ghats of Nepal are situated.  In Bouddhanath we circumambulate together with Tibetan and Nepali Buddhist pilgrims the whitewashed stupa. Our sightseeing usually ends in Patan, the city of Beauty, an astonishing center of fine art and Buddhist and Hindu culture. Overnight hotel( B.B)
    Day03:Flight to Lukla & Trek Phakding(2640m)
    Usually flight to Lukla is scheduled in morning time. You will be picked up from your hotel early morning then transfer to domestic Airport of Kathmandu. A short flight of 45 minutes will bring you to Pasanglyamu Airport at Lukla
    (2 850 m). Breakfast break is made in Lukla then we start trekking through beautiful settlements to join soon the main trail in Churi Kharka.  We follow the east bank of the Dudh Koshi- the River of Milk- where you witness the typical Nepal terrace culture, slate roofed houses and views on Kusum Kangaru (5 579 m). We reach Phakding (2 640 m) after 3 - 4 h gentle walking. Overnight Lodge(ABLD)
    Day 04: Trek Namche Bazaar
    Today we make a challenging hike to Namche Bazaar (3 440 m), situated at 6-7 hours walking from Phakding. We climb up along the west bank of the Dudh Kosi to the tiny village of Toktok.  We get our first glimpse of Thamserku peak (6 608 m) and reach Benkar (2 710 m).  The cliffs above the village are decorated with huge paintings of Buddhist deities. We cross the colorful suspension bridge  and enter the Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo (2 840 m). After Jorsale we follow the river bank  over gravel, climb through a pine forest and cross the Dudh Kosi by a big suspension bridge. Then we face a continuous zigzag ascent of 2 hours through dense pine forests.  In the early evening we reach the vibrant center of Namche Bazar, the most attractive settlements of Solu-Khumbu district.     Day 05 – Rest day Namche Bazaar
    Rest day in Namche. Optional walk to the Sherwi Khangba  Sherpa Culture Museum or dayhike to the Hotel Everest View in Khumjung village (3 700 m) and Khundi Hospital in Khundi Village, the first hospital build in Khumbu Region by Sir Edmund Hillary and Himalayan Trust in 1966.

    Day 6 Namche  to Phorste Thanga (3680meters) 5 hours.
    Today, the trail climbs steeply out of valley through rhododendron forest, juniper and large conifers start to appear as the elevation increases making the trekking beautiful in spring. The trail passes through Yak Kharkas and summer settlements. The views of Khumbi La and Tawache are magnificent throughout the day. Overnight at Guesthouse.
    07-Trek to Machherma (4470 meters). 5 hours.
    The trail climbs a ridge for an excellent view both down the valley to Kengtega and up towards Cho Oyu and descend to a river and again climbs steep to the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpz glacier. We will reach at Machherma by early noon. Overnight at Guesthouse.
    Day 08- Trek to Gokyo (4790 meters) 5.30 hours.
    Today the trek takes us at one of our final destination, Gokyo (4790m). We will make this camp our base for 2 nights as we will have couple of sightseeing and hiking trips around Gokyo. Overnight at Guesthouse.

    Day 09- Trek Gokyo Ri (5483 meters) and then Back to Gokyo. 5 hours.
    Today, early in the morning we have steep climb up to the top of Gokyo Ri at elevation of 5483 meters, ample rewards to one attempts this trip. There are stunning views of the supper Gokyo valley, the massive Ngozumpa Glacier and an incredible panoramic view of the whole Khumbu Himalayas, such as giants as Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu and Gychung Kang can be seen. Those who explore the glacier and Gokyo peak are rewarded. This day we have for acclimatization and after noon back to the camp. Overnight at Guesthouse.

    Day 10- Trek to Thangna (4500 meters) 4 hours.
    Trekking to the foot of Cho La pass for our overnight stay at Guesthouse.

    Day 11- Cross Cho La pass (5300 meters) then trek to Dzongla (4710 meters) 7 hours.
    Today is a long trek starting before sunrise at 4/5 am to reach the pass by 9-10 am otherwise weather conditions will greatly affect our journey. We cross over at an altitude of 5300 meters we could be exposed to strong winds if crossing too late. We start to climb steeply that is regularly used and easy to follow. However, the problem may arise due to the altitude and snow. It often causes terrible problems to cross the pass if it is covered by snow. As you reach the top, you are rewarded by the magnificent views, then we descend to the Dzongla at noon. Overnight at Guesthouse.

    Day12: Trek Lobuche
    After ascending 150 m up to the main road, we reach a viewpoint where we have outstanding sights at Tawachee (6 495 m) and Cholatse peak (6 440m). After our lunch camp in Dugla (4 620m) the trail goes directly up the gravely terminal moraine of the Khumbu glaciers for about one hour.  The trail leads to a row of memorial monuments of lost climbers and sherpas. The trail then drops a little and follows the western side of the valley to Lobuche. After four to five hours hiking we reach the small settlement of Lobuche which is situated at 4 930 m. We sleep  in a lodge at Gorakskhep, a semi-permanent village at the bottom of the Khumbu Icefall. Overnight Lodge(ABDL)
    Day 13: Trek Gorak Shep ( 5160m)
    The ascent to Gorak Shep (5 160 m) becomes steeper and rougher as we cross several moraines.  Soon we see the peak of Pumori (7 145m). We also have our first views at Nuptse (7 864 m), Kala Patthar  (5 545 m) and Mount Everest.  At the right side you look over the Khumbu Glacier, an enormous tongue of ice which marches down the slopes of Everest. We reach Gorak Shep by lunch time and trek to Base Camp in the afternoon.  In total we hike six-seven hours today. Overnight Lodge(ABDL)
    Day 14: Trek to Kalapathar(5545m)  & return Gorak Shep
    After we finish our breakfast we climb to Kala Pattar – the Black Rock - located at 5 545 m and marked by a tangle of prayer flags.  At this viewpoint - one of the most astonishing views on earth- you have a 360 degree panorama of Himalayan giants from Pumori and Lobuche West to Nuptse, Lhotse and Everest. We return back to Gorak Shep via the view points of the ice lakes of Pumori and Everest. We will take rest here in the afternoon.Overnight Lodge(ABLD)
    Day 15: Trek Pheriche
    Today we return in 4 hours back to Pheriche located at 4 215 m.  We will enjoy all the surrounding mountains views. Overnight Lodge(ABLD)
    Day 16 – Trek Namche Bazaar
    Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3 440 m). We descend approximately 5 hours. Overnight Lodge(ABLD)
    Day 17 – Trek Lukla
    We start this 6 hours during trek with a streneous descent from Namche Bazaar to the Dud Kosi (hard work for the knees), after the path climbs up to Monjo and then runs easily to Benkar, Phakding and Lukla. Overnight Lodge(ABLD)
    Day 18 – Flight to Kathmandu
    After breakfast we fly in about 40 minutes from Lukla to Kathmandu.  Arrive at Tribhuvan Airport and transfer to hotel. 
    Day 19 : Departure or free from program

    Hiking boots: Leather with a sturdy mid-sole and Vibram sole. ½ or ¾ shank, boots should be warm and fit well over light and heavy sock combinations. Fit is much more important than brand. Take the time to select a pair that fits your foot, and break them in well. (Asolo, Merrill, Scarpa, La Sportiva)

     

    Gaiters: Short, simple gaiters are best, such as Outdoor Research's Rocky Mountain Low Gaiters.. Gore-Tex gaiters are not necessary.

     

    Sport sandals: They are excellent in camp during evenings when worn over wool socks and perfect for living in tea shops, Sherpa lodges and for visiting monasteries.  (Teva, Chaco)

     

    Booties: Down or synthetic. An optional luxury, any brand with thick foam soles is recommended.

     

    Lightweight socks: Three pairs of synthetic/wool blend (Bridgedale, Patagonia , Wigwam, Fox River)
